World Drought Atlas Report: The rising levels of pollution around the world are adversely affecting nature due to climate change. As a result, by 2050, about 75 percent of the population will be affected by drought. The United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD) and the European Commission Joint Research Centre have recently drawn this conclusion from the World Drought Atlas.

The World Drought Atlas, prepared by the CIMA Research Foundation of Italy, the University of the Netherlands and the UN University Institute for Environment and Human Security, explains in detail the impact of drought on energy, agriculture and business.
