Water tanks will be built at 5 places: 30-year-old lines of water in the city will be replaced by 94 km new

A new 94-km-long underground water pipeline will be laid in the old city to make the drinking water network more efficient in Mehsana city. The work has been started with a target to be completed in the next one and a half years. After the government's Gujarat Urban Development Company started the work of constructing a sewage pumping station in the Rs. 123.74 crore project of water and sewage in amrut-2 project in the city, now the work of a new distribution line network of drinking water has been taken up. A new pipeline will be laid in place of the 30-year-old underground line in the rural area of City-1 and new water sumps and tanks will also be built. From where water will be distributed in the entire area. The city is currently digging to lay a parallel new water line parallel to the road side of the road side from Atal Sports Complex in front of Catali Bagh to the post office. A new line of underground water is also being laid on Kasba and Shobhasan Road. Informed sources in the GUDC said that under the AMRUT-II project, various water and sewerage works are being started in a phased manner. In which a new distribution line is being laid in the rural area where the water pressure is less in the old area. The new distribution network covers areas, especially those areas where pipelines are cut, saline deposition and leakage problems are high due to the age-old line. Overhead new water tanks will also come up at 5 places including Kasba, Somnath Rituraj, Ramosana, Chavelinagar, Ambaji Temple and water sumps will be built at 7 places. From there an innovative pipeline network will be created for water distribution in the area. In Mehsana City-1, the pipeline has accumulated salt, where the problems of erosion and leakage are high, the line has started to be changed in the areas where the problems of erosion and leakage are high. A new water treatment plant of 50 MLD will be constructed at Nagalpur. The GUDC is currently starting work as per the design as per the solid test report of the water tank, sump and water treatment plant of the place where it is to be built. A 50 MLD (million litre per day) water treatment plant will be set up at Nagalpur. Under this project, a 100 MLD ro water plant is planned to be built at Dhinoj (Kamalpur). From there water will come to the Nagalpur plant. The project covers 32 km of sewer line network, drainage pumping station among others. There will be new water line network in Shobhasan Road, Kasba, Rohitnagar, Manav Ashram Golden Bungalows, Chavelinagar, some areas of Ramosana, Amarpara, Somnath Rituraj area. The existing network will continue for the time being. Apart from this, the work of replacing pipelines in notified areas of need will be covered in the village where there is a 30-year-old line.
