Wastage of clean water from a water tank in Ward No. 1 of Vadodara, got mixed in the drain due to leakage

Vadodara Corporation : Drinking water has been wasted due to heavy leakage from the 18-inch line at TP13 water tank in ward number one area of Vadodara city for the last few days. Instead of the water that should go to people's homes, it is getting washed away in the rain drains.

According to a senior Congress woman corporator from ward number 1, she visited the TP-13 water tank to check the presence of excess yellow water in the area. An 18-inch line of the water tank was found to be leaking. Water was flowing in the force from the inside to the outside and the valve chamber was also flowing with full pressure. The leakage seems to have happened for a few days. The water from the leakage was going back into the line from the chamber. If there is a rain storm, its water is also filled here. Thus, there is every possibility of muddy water. People do not get water from the pressure, while on the other hand, the clean water used to get wasted in the rain drain.

In this regard, the staff of the municipal corporation's SCADA and the distribution staff are putting the onus on each other, informing them of the immediate leakage repairing work. However, repairing is likely to take place today. On the other hand, to solve the problem of yellow water, the situation has improved by reducing the amount of chlorine in the water slightly, but due to the current monsoon, the system also has to increase the amount of chlorine due to the presence of soiled water.
