Nine people were killed in fresh blasts in Lebanon a day after deadly pager blasts blamed on Israel ripped through the country. Lebanon’s health ministry also reported "more than 300 wounded" in "a new wave of walkie-talkie blasts" on September 18. Hand-held radios used by Hezbollah reportedly detonated across southern Lebanon and in Beirut's southern suburbs. "Pagers" and "devices" had also exploded in Hezbollah strongholds in the east and south, as per the National News Agency.
