Gujsitok's weapon was raised on the Kasamala gang that committed crimes in Vadodara. The gang, which was active in 2008 from Karelibagh area of Vadodara, had committed 216 crimes in 17 years. Akbar Kadermia Sunni, an accused in the gang, had filed a regular bail application in the Vadodara court. However, the court rejected his bail plea. The nine accused in the gang are currently lodged in Vadodara Central Jail. The Kasamaala gang runs liquor and gambling activities and extorts extortion money by threatening the traders. He threatens to kill anyone who does not pay any ransom. Especially in the Karelibagh area, the torture of this gang has increased a lot and people have become angry with the gang. Offences have been registered against the gang in most of the police stations in Vadodara city. The accused were in constant touch over the phone and were involved in all the crimes. The name of the gang was Kasamaala as it lived in kasamaala graveyard area. There was an organised crime syndicate called Kasamaala Gang in Vadodara city, in which there were a total of 9 members, out of which Hussain Qadarmiyan Sunni, Akbar Qadarmiyan Sunni and Mohammad Alim Salim Pathan were booked for illegally laundering by showing revolvers. The police investigation revealed that the Kasmaala gang used to collect ransom by keeping a revolver with them and also kept a record of the person from whom the ransom was collected in a diary. The gang members had hidden this red diary in a village in Saurashtra. The accused confessed to the police that they had hidden a red diary in a grain bag at the house of one of his relatives.
