The government which delivers the services must have a strong sense of duty and work in a transparent, corruption-free, time-bound and accountable manner. Our foremost priority is the removal of poverty, hunger, malnutrition, disease and illiteracy for Sustainable Development.
I am Dr. Rahul Vasudevbhai Vyas, a young social entrepreneur who is confident, committed, and competent to serve society. My zeal to serve has motivated me to contest as an Independent Candidate in the Lok Sabha Elections-2024 from Vadodara -20 Constituency. Since my younger days, I have been actively engaged in social dialogue on pertinent social challenges and worked for social action for tangible changes in the neighborhood.
Vadodara, the cultural capital of Gujarat needs a young and dynamic leader who can realize the vision of our great king, Maharaja Sayajirao Gaekwad. I have studied at the M. S. University of Baroda and secured the highest degree (Ph.D.) from the Faculty of Management Studies, specializing in Financial Management. I have imbibed values and ethics through my education and association with eminent personalities. I strongly feel that now the time has come to contribute selflessly to the motherland with a great sense of gratitude.
Gujarat is a developed state with the development challenges. Quality Education is the key for the social transformation. We still need affordable educational facilities to our children with advanced pedagogical practices. Learning Outcomes of our children are the serious concern.
The Gujarat Budget 2024-25 constituted a total of Rs 3,32,465 crore, largely increased by 31,443 crores as compared the last year's budget. Out of the overall budget, the highest allocation has been made to the Education section at Rs 55,114 crore. We must work sensibly and create a quality education ecosystem to become VISWAGURU.
Gujarat has made steady improvements in many key health indicators, including reproductive, maternal, newborn, child, and adolescent health. However, challenges remain. For example, 69 percent of adolescent girls and 36 percent of adolescent boys in the state suffer from anemia. Also, 10 percent of rural and five percent of urban residents in Gujarat suffer from mental health issues. We need to work strategically to make our state a better place to live.
Youth are the mirror images of growth of the country. 50 crores youth population in India is the asset for the nation. Great impetus must be put into youth development, employability and entrepreneurship. We need to work collaboratively to leverage youth potential of our state.
To enable connectivity in rural areas and ensure farmers’ agricultural products reach the market on time, the state need to implement schemes to upgrade all modes of transportation including roads. Only such steps would improve the quality of life of the farmers by boosting agricultural activities and productivity. We need to work for rural transformation with the successful integration of technology at work.
Women constitute half of our population and Gujarat women have a proven record of empowerment. We need to create more opportunities for women empowerment by providing basic education, vocational training, training for self-employment, legal aid, protection for women and self-awareness programs. We need to work for equitable and inclusive society.
Arise awake and stop not till we reach the goal. We look forward for great opportunities and make our dreams come true. Our Goal is to raise our standards and reach to the heights in all sectors of growth and prosperity.
