Two held with 700 litres of CPU oil in Kandla

There have been several instances of oil being stolen in Kandla with the help of different modus operandi in the past, in the meantime, a 700-litre CPO worth Rs. 66,500, stolen after luring tanker drivers in Kandla's Kesar parking lot, was stolen in a Travera car without an oil number. Giving details, LCB PI N.N. Chudasama said that while the team was patrolling the Kandla area last night, constables Mahesh Ghoghal and Dharmesh Patel, who reached the road leading to IFFCO in Old Kandla, received a joint information that Ilyas Dawood Kordia, a resident of Sidheshwar Park in Meghpar Kumbhardi, had stolen oil from the companies at Kandla for his personal benefit. The stolen oil is currently stored in a white coloured Travera car, which is currently parked in the parking lot near CRL Company and Kesher Company. As soon as the team reached there with this information, seeing the police, the two ismo tried to run away, but after cordoning off both of them, a quantity of 700 liters of CPO oil worth Rs. 66,500 was found from the car. A case of rs 2,21,500 was seized and a case was registered at Kandla Marine police station and legal action was taken. However, the main conspirator Ilyas Dawood Koradia was not present during the raid. Oil thieves | Vehicles without number plates and black filmed vehicles suspected to steal diesel from the tanks of Ismo trucks in cars without a number plate were not only stealing diesel from the tank of trucks in cars without a rubber plate last year, but also attacked them if challenged. Vehicles without number plates and vehicles fitted with black films are moving around in Gandhidham, especially in the industrial area, Kandla, and suspicious incidents have been reported in similar vehicles in the past. Then it is necessary that the police take strict action against such drivers.
