Songarh | Near Doswada village in Songarh taluka, there is a historical building called Garhi, which is about 400 years old, adjacent to the dam. Though the building has a valuable historical heritage, it is not given enough attention by the government machinery or the archaeology department to take care of it. As a result, the kangras of garhi are currently being destroyed. The historic garhi has come up near the Doswada Dam. According to the inscription written in Urdu language at one place in this room, this place was constructed about 400 years ago by the then Suba of Surat and this place is believed to be a school or hostel for students. At the same time, the locals are demanding that this place should be developed as a tourist destination. There is also a well in a corner of the garhi, from which there is a lot of water. History of this ancient fort being used by the Gaekwadi army after it was taken over by the king of gaekwad state from time to time.
