There is no hurry for the municipality to repair the road: Diwali is gone, despite the arrival of Devdiwali, the promises of the road-municipality remained broken.

In most areas of the city, the waist-breaking road is not repaired at all. The municipal corporation had first promised to repair the broken roads by Navratri. After that, by Diwali, everyone was expected to be well. However, even as Devdiwali is approaching, the talk of road repairs is proving to be just a hollow promise. Patchwork has been done on some roads, but in this work, such has been done that the road gives more harassment. In some areas, the roads have been broken to such an extent that the vehicle does not leave without falling into the pit and the pain of the waist or beads becomes a guarantee. The work has not been done at the speed at which work should have been done to level the broken roads after the monsoon. It is true that the monsoon has been prolonged this year but the road repair work has not picked up pace. It also rained during Navratri this year. Due to this the municipality gave the reason that it was not possible to repair on the wet road. It was only when Diwali was around the corner that the quarry operators went on strike. Due to this, the municipal corporation did not get the required garbage to build the road. The strike lasted for ten days but due to its impact, the road repair work was stalled for a long time. During the monsoon, 21,549 complaints of road breaking and 15,615 complaints of road failure were received. As many as 21,549 complaints of road breaches were received during the monsoon. People complained that 15,615 roads were sitting. While 3397 small and big pits and earthquakes fell. In some areas, there was a series of landslides at one place after another. Apart from this, it also took a long time to drain out the rainwater. Among the complaints received by the municipal corporation, the problem of broken roads and water logging, overflowing drains is the highest. Roads in many areas, including Ghatlodia, Naranpura, Vejalpur, Satellite, service roads on SG Highway, have been damaged to such an extent that the driver prefers to pass through without hesitation.
