The heat wave is increasing in Valsad district. Temperatures are fluctuating in 6 talukas of the district. Dharampur taluka recorded the highest maximum temperature of 37 degrees Celsius. Umargam taluka recorded the lowest maximum temperature of 32 degrees Celsius. Valsad taluka recorded 24 to 34 degrees, Pardi taluka 23 to 34 degrees, Kaprada taluka 21 to 36 degrees and Vapi taluka 24 to 35 degrees. The district administration has instructed citizens not to venture out unnecessarily between 12 noon and 5 pm. The administration has advised people to wear cotton clothes. Cold water, buttermilk, lemonade, lassi and ORS water have been asked to be used more. The pastoralists have also been appealed to arrange water and shade for the animals and birds.
