'Concorde' took eight years to build, closed in 14 days

Concord Game: Sony recently announced that it has discontinued the online shooter game 'Concorde'. The game was launched on August 23 and it has been decided to close it within 14 days. The game will not be available online from September 6. Anyone who has bought this game for the computer or the PlayStation 5 will be refunded.

Lack of performance

The 'Concorde' game wasn't supposed to be bought. It has been discontinued as it has been a very disappointing sale. Both the Computer and The PlayStation 5 together are estimated to have sold about 25,000 copies. Only 0.2% of the playstation 5's active members would have played the game. Last Monday, the rank of this game was 147th in the list of games.

My bet on other games

PSNPrefiles, the trophy tracking site for the PlayStation, recently released a figure. Concorde had 1,300 players. On the other hand, 'Star Wars Atlas' had 4300 players and 'Black Myth: Wukong' had 16000 players. It was only when 'Concorde' was launched that it could not create curiosity among gamers.

The game has been created by Firewalk Studios. The company was formed in 2018 and was acquired by Sony last year. The company had been making this game for the last eight years. Sony and Firewalk are rubbing their minds on what changes are made in this game that gamers will like. It is likely to be revived again in the future.
