Salman Khan's death threat: 56-year-old accused sent a message to traffic police demanding Rs 2 crore
Mumbai: The Mumbai Police on Wednesday arrested the man who had threatened to kill Salman Khan and demanded a ransom of Rs 2 crore. He was identified as Azam Mohammad Mustafa (56). According to news agency PTI, the accused is a resident of Bandra in Mumbai. Azam had sent a message to the Mumbai traffic police stating that the actor's life would be taken away if the money was not paid. After receiving the message, officials present in Worli launched an investigation against the person who sent the message. The threat was also received on October 25.
Five days ago, Salman was threatened with death in a similar manner. The Mumbai Police arrested the accused from Noida on Tuesday. He has been identified as Mohammad Tayyab (20). ACP Noida Praveen Kumar Singh said, "The accused will be produced before the Surajpur court. From there, the Mumbai Police will take him on transit remand. On the evening of October 25, Tayyab sent a message to the Bandra office of Zeeshan Siddiqui, son of NCP leader Baba Siddiqui. In which Salman Khan and Zeeshan were threatened with death if the ransom was not paid. An employee of Zeeshan lodged an FIR with the police. Earlier, six days after the murder of Baba Siddiqui (October 12), Salman had received death threats. The threat was sent to the Mumbai Traffic Control Room through a WhatsApp message. Dado claimed to be a member of the Lawrence gang. According to the Mumbai Police, the threatening message read: "Don't take this lightly. If Salman Khan has to survive and end his enmity with Lawrence, he will have to pay Rs 5 crore. If the money is not given, Salman Khan's condition will be worse than Baba Siddiqui. Mumbai Police arrested him from Jamshedpur in Jharkhand on October 23 in two cases in six months, after which Salman's security was beefed up October 12: Salman Khan's close aide and NCP leader Baba Siddiqui's son Zeeshan came out of the office. Six bullets were fired at him. Two bullets hit Siddiqui in the stomach and one in the chest. He was rushed to Lilavati Hospital, where he was declared brought dead at 11.27 pm.
