Rashmi Bansal's column: Light the lamp of conscience and spread the light of love-belongingness

The Lakshmi Puja of Diwali had begun, but the children's attention was elsewhere as to when the puja would end, and they would burst crackers! This scene still appears on the screen of my mind. It also seems that we were so unworthy, the gods and goddesses showed infinite grace, they never minded. Because children are children. There were many varieties in firecrackers, and it was a great art to make a good selection in a small budget. The most basic but most important – sparklers. There are also different types of – small, big, colored and snappy. At first, she would burn with a lamp, but after that every sparkler would donate the flame of her life to a brother and sister while dying. True, even in firecrackers, a glimpse of personality is clearly visible. Where the sparklers are so friendly and good-hearted, take the pomegranate and the chakri. Pretention number one. The pomegranate is still a little sorted, but what to say about the wheel. The slightest fire spreads in all directions: Look, look at me! Even if someone gets hurt, he doesn't care. But more scoundrels fought than pomegranates. In a red-green dress, very straightforward to look at. Burn one and see a small 'foot'. But when one meets many, the whole neighborhood is shaken. So this is the cracker that desires leadership. Unity is our strength! Now there is one person more than these, the twine bomb. So much strength in alone that people sit far and wide with their eyes and ears closed. The fun of threatening people is such that even Gabbar blushes. Among such giants, like the general public- a slight tick. It was just a drop of gunpowder, which we enjoyed suppressing and bursting. Just like the circumstances of life suppress the common man and suffocate him. They have no identity of their own, no trace of existence. With a small sigh, he left this world. Then comes the thought of the snake. Perhaps this firecracker aspires to work in a TV serial. She can get many roles – the poisonous form of the mother-in-law, the witch or the serpent in the haunted house. Just after burning, the stain remains, like the effect of these serials on the mind! Finally, my favorite cracker – the rocket. Insert it into a bottle of Campa Cola and light its fuse with a matchstick, then that's it, amazing sight. At a fast pace, at a will, it reaches from where to where. This is what I believe in is the enterprising cracker, which inspires us. To dream, and to fulfill them! Well, gone are the childhood days and so are the fashion of firecrackers. I thought, seeing my daughter enjoying pomegranate-chakri, I would become a child again. But when she was ten years old, she said, "Mommy, don't want more fireworks than this year." His generation is wiser than us, very conscious towards the environment. Anything is fine to an extent, but in extremity it does harm. I believe that limited fireworks can be burst in public in every neighborhood. But who will keep whom in the limit? Well, I will definitely light a sparkler this year too to refresh old memories. An Instagram story is made in that pose in Diwali attire! By the way, the most beautiful and gentle personality is that of an earthen lamp. Burn as much as you want, no one will be harmed. Just a spark and a golden light from oil, a sweet light that soothes the heart. Light the lamp of your inner soul in the same way, spread the light of love and belongingness in the world. My love message to all of you: Happy Deepawali. (This is the author's opinion)
