According to the tradition of years in Vadodara, Kartak Sud Agyaras (Ekadashi of Devuthi Prabodhini) will leave on the morning of 12th May, lord Vitthalnathji's horse will leave at Vajtegajat.
Under the Devasthanam Trust run by The Shrimant Maharaja Gaekwad, the warhorse emerges from the historic and Rajwadi Shri Vitthal Temple near Mandvi on Devuthi Ekadashi as per the tradition of years. At 9 a.m. on The 12th, Shri Vitthalnathji will sit in a grand palanquin of lord gold and silver and leave for the nagar yatra to give darshan to the townspeople from the front.
