The revenue department of the state government has made major administrative changes. The department has issued transfer orders for 157 deputy mamlatdars and 57 revenue clerks across the state. Sabarkantha district has seen the maximum change. 12 new deputy mamlatdars have been appointed here. Of these, six have been transferred from Dahod, two from Aravalli, and one each from Rajkot, Surat, Patan and Anand. Three deputy mamlatdars from Sabarkantha have been transferred to other districts. S.K. Prajapati to Banaskantha, Ratanbhai Damor from Hemangi to Surendranagar and Jayantilal K. Chaudhary has been posted at Mehsana. Four new officers have come to Sabarkantha in place of revenue clerks. Prajnesh Rasikbhai Patel and Deepak Ashokbhai Suthar from Aravalli, while Ashwin J. Patel from Dahod. Rathod and Ashaben R. Desai has been appointed. These transfers will see new faces in the district administration. The appointment of new officers is expected to further strengthen administrative functioning.
