Jonty Rhodes, the greatest fielder in the world of cricket, called this Gujarati cricketer a 'complete fielder'

Jadeja

Ravindra Jadeja Best Fielder Says jonty: There is no doubt that former South African cricketer Jonty Rhodes is considered to be the greatest fielder in the world of cricket. But who can be called the best fielder like Jonty in modern cricket? Jonty Rhodes himself has talked about this. A long time ago, the fielding of South Africa and Australia was appreciated in cricket, but now Team India has also improved its fielding a lot. Due to which Team India can also give a tough fight to other teams in terms of fielding.

After Jadeja, Raina is a brilliant fielder

Jonty Rhodes has described Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja as the best fielder in the modern cricket world. Rhodes called Jadeja the best fielder of today's time and said, 'I especially like two Indian cricketers. One is Suresh Raina and the other is Ravindra Jadeja. Both of them are also the best Indian fielders, but when it comes to modern cricket, ravindra jadeja is definitely the best fielder. His stumping is also perfect, while Raina is also a brilliant fielder. However, only Ravindra Jadeja can be considered as a complete fielder.

Jadeja is the best in every position

Rhodes also explained the reason behind calling Jadeja the best fielder. "I consider Jadeja to be the best fielder because he can field anywhere on the field. He can also be fielded at mid-wicket, long-on or short cover. Jadeja's footwork is so fast that the batsman gets scared when the ball comes close to him. In fielding, more important than catching or throwing the ball is how fast you reach the ball. And Jadeja is the best in all this."

Ravindra Jadeja made his international debut for India in an  ODI against Sri Lanka in Colombo in 2009. He has so far played a total of 72 Tests, 197 ODI and 74 T20I matches. Jadeja, a 35-year-old all-rounder, was part of the Indian team that won the T20 World Cup 2024 title. He announced his retirement from T20I cricket after the tournament.

Jadeja was not included in the recent ODI series against Sri Lanka, but he will be an important player for the Indian team in the upcoming two-match Test series against Bangladesh.
