Iranian Jets Force US Spy Drone To 'Retreat', Houthis Refuse To Stop Attacks Amid Trump Warning

A US spy drone had to retreat from near Iranian airspace after encountering Iranian F-14 fighter jets and reconnaissance drones, Reuters reported. Iran’s armed forces remain on high alert, prepared for “full-scale defence and a severe counterattack”, the report added citing Iran’s Nournews.Tensions between Iran and US have ratcheted up amid President Donald Trump’s threats of military action.Trump has renewed his “maximum pressure” sanctions against Iran since returning to office for a second term in January. In a letter to Iran’s supreme leader Ali Khamenei, Trump warned the US will have “to go in militarily” if Iran doesn’t make a deal to curtail its nuclear program.
