A total of 43 ministers took oath in the oath-taking ceremony at the Rashtrapati Bhavan on July 7, 2021. There were 15 new cabinet ministers and 28 new ministers of state Introduced to the nation in the ceremony. Prime Minister Narendra Modi wished all his colleagues the very best of their ministerial tenure.
The Prime Minister had been aiming to include younger members of his party to be ministers and also give greater representation to women and backward classes - a crucial consideration ahead of important state elections starting with Uttar Pradesh early next year. The names of the selected ministers were chosen after accumulating feedback from senior ministers and party leaders. Also, factors like caste, age, gender, education, experience, etc. have been taken into account.
The regions and cast combination is a big problem as government of India decides the minister based on political impact in the region rather than knowledge. The world selects the leader based on skills, value, ethics and India selects the leader based on religion, cast and location i.e. north, west, south and east. The maximum 552 members can be elected to Lok Sabha and ruling party always have a big cabinet as every leader is looking for a minister post. Indian leaders never learn from Singapore, in the 1960s, Singapre was an undeveloped country with a GDP per capita of less than U.S. $320 increased to U.S. $ 102,742 in year 2021 while in the 1960s India, a GDP per capita of less than U.S. $85 increased to U.S. $7333 in the year 2021. The difference in GDP growth of two counties is very gigantic. The citizens of India required to think why such a big difference in GDP?
