Uday Korde, a coffee artist from Vadodara, organized an exhibition of coffee painting for the first time on foreign soil. The exhibition was held for three days at the Art Gallery in Rotorua, New Zealand. In this exhibition, 50 artworks including Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Celebrities from New Zealand were presented. The art gallery in The City of Rotorua, New Zealand, displayed coffee paintings of celebrities who have made significant contributions in various fields, including The Mayor of Rotorua and New Zealand's Edmund Hillary, who has scaled Everest for the first time in the world, as well as Amitabh Bachchan, Sachin Tendulkar, Shah Rukh Khan. Uday Korde, a coffee artist from Vadodara, said he used to hold exhibitions every year as part of coffee day celebrations in India. At that time, there was a dream to do an international exhibition. Gujarat Lalitkala Akademi has helped me to make that dream come true. My first international coffee painting exhibition has been held in New Zealand. In which heritage buildings like Auckland Sky Tower, Rotorua Museum, Parliament, along with coffee paintings of Rotorua Mayor Tanya Taapsee, Sir Edmund Hillary, Sir Richard Hadley, Sir Howard Morrison have been displayed. Artist Uday Korde further said that the Member of Parliament has made and exhibited coffee paintings of a great man like Sir Todd McLean. In which I have also received support from The Rotorua Civic Art Trust, Rotorua Art Village and Rotorua Multicultural Council. He further said that to make this exhibition a success, my wife, my brother along with parents and friends with son have been there. Especially for this performance I have been trying for almost a year as part of which I have achieved success. Artist Uday Korde has been painting coffee since 2016. His first coffee painting was that of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, which he later presented as a gift, followed by a portrait of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. So far, he has made more than 400 coffee paintings. In addition, about 700-800 grams of coffee is used to make a coffee painting. To make this coffee portrait, handmade paper of France is specially used, which is expensive. So far, artist Uday Korde has done 7 solo performances and 4 group performances and this is the first international exhibition. He made his first artwork by painting a portrait of cricket legend Sunil Gavaskar at the age of just five, his talent soon came to light, he won awards in state-level competitions sponsored by big brands.
