The high court had asked it to prepare a report on how much compensation should be paid to the families of the victims and the teachers who survived the harni boat tragedy. The city provincial official held the last hearing on Monday. In which the inquiry report was taken on resolution. The compensation can be fixed and announced in 3 to 4 days. Lawyer Hitesh Gupta said that in the last hearing, the affidavit of the co-teacher working with the deceased teacher was presented. He had been working with the deceased teacher since July. His affidavit mentions that the salary sheets of the deceased teachers have been submitted by the school, in which the signatures are wrong. The salary of the deceased teacher Chhayaben Surati has been shown in the salary sheet of Rs 7500. While according to government norms, the minimum wage should be Rs 13,000. So this pay sheet is not to be considered. If the salary was actually low, action could be taken against the school for paying less than the minimum wages.
