President Recep Tayyip Erdogan declared that Syria must remain united and warned Turkey will act against any threat to its territory. Erdogan said: "From now on, we cannot allow Syria to be divided once again. We must never consent to the country's lands becoming a conflict zone again. We cannot accept any provocation that will prevent the return of fellow Syrian people to their homes." Meanwhile, Israel’s defence minister warned Syria’s rebel leadership against attacks on Israel after Islamists purportedly threatened to march from "Damascus to Jerusalem." n18oc_world n18oc_crux
