Drive: Power theft worth Rs 64.50 lakh detected in Jamnagar-Devbhoomi

For the second consecutive day in Jamnagar and Devbhoomi Dwarka districts, the checking drive was continued by the power system, in which 38 teams of the power system checked 413 connections during the power checking in the rural panthaks of Jamnagar and Kalyanpur on Tuesday. A penal bill of Rs 64.50 lakh was given. After nearly three weeks, the Jamnagar power system conducted a power checking drive again, in which on Monday, the teams of the power company in Jamnagar city-district, during the checking, found irregularities in 92 out of 451 connections. A compensation bill of Rs 57.62 lakh was struck. On Monday, checking teams of the power system carried out checks in Dhararnagar, Vambe Awas, Hanuman Hill, Yadavnagar, Bedeshwar, Bedi, Punitnagar, Mahaprabhuji Seat Road areas of the city as well as Lalpur and Jamjodhpur rural areas. Meanwhile, the checking drive was continued by the power system on Tuesday as well. In which 38 different teams of Jamnagar including Sikka, Jhankhar, Singach, Jogwad, Meghpar, Dared and Dadiya along with the rural panths of Devbhoomi Dwarka district also carried out power checking in Kalyanpur, Bhatia, Garhka, Rawal etc. 64.50 lakh bills were hit. During the checking, 09 ex-armymen and 27 police personnel also joined the bandobast.
