Various scientific activities, scientific workshops, scientific movies, outdoor games, as well as special days were celebrated to remove the darkness of ignorance in the lives of the people by lighting the lamp of knowledge in Diwali at Regional Science Center - Rajkot. Diwali special 'Hathi Mere Saathi' play was played by the staff of the centre, 1000 lamps were lit by the visitors. Along with this, various scientific activities were organized, including like Leaf Stomata Under Microscope, Various Robot Demonstrations, Scattering of Light, LED Display Observation, Solar Lunar Eclipse Model, Let's No Magnets. Apart from this, scientific workshops were organized, including Basics of Electronics Workshop, Ceramic Workshop, How to Make Barometer Workshop, Physics Workshop, Robotics Workshop. In scientific movies, a cosmos documentary film related to the universe was shown. In outdoor games, people enjoyed fun and learn games like Tik-Tech, X-O, Round and Square, Take Your Place, etc. As well as telescope activity, sun spot, Saturn, Venus, moon were illuminated in space view. At the same time, in the celebration of special days, on November 7, 2024, two Nobel Laureates, Bharat Ratna Dr. It was the birth anniversaries of Chandrasekhara Venkata Raman and Madame Marie Curie. As part of the celebration of Madame Marie Curie's birthday i.e. National Cancer Awareness Day, free health checkups for the visitors as well as information about various types of cancer were provided to the visitors in collaboration with Kundaria Cancer Prevention Foundation at the Centre. As many as 3757 visitors participated in various science-based activities at Regional Science Centre - Rajkot and celebrated the festival of Diwali.
