A total of 94 employees, including laboratory assistants and laboratory technicians recruited by the health department in 2012 in medical colleges and general hospitals, were not included in the new merit created by the court's order. Five employees from north Gujarat are also included. In 2012, the Health Department had conducted a merit-based recruitment process for the posts of Laboratory Technician and Laboratory Assistant Class III. Candidates were selected by making a merit list as they were selected on the basis of direct merit. In which some candidates have not been included despite having more merit, due to which two candidates have challenged the merit in the High Court, due to the mistake of making the merit list by the court, the merit list has been made again by the health department, according to the order of the court, the merit list has been made again by the Health Department. An order has been issued by the Office of the Commissioner of Health Medical Services and Medical Education with immediate effect from December 4.
