Pt. Vijay Shankar Mehta's column: In the age of science and technology, devotion is also needed

This is the age of science, technology and education. Now it is difficult to get success without being educated. Gradually, illiterate people are going to suffer a lot. When Ram ji was talking to his brother Bharat on many subjects, he said that education has to be obtained. And by the way, it is difficult to get knowledge. Many obstacles stand in his way. At one place, Ram Ji said that the mind can also give problems for knowledge. But even if someone attains enlightenment after a lot of hardship, Rama puts a condition, 'Karat kasht bahu pavai kou'. Bhakti heen mohi priya nahi soo. If one attains knowledge through suffering, I do not like being devoid of devotion. That is, the Gnani must be a devotee. Devotion is a kind of merit. If there is no merit along with education, then education becomes a cause of unrest. Education does not only give success, but also merit. Consider devotion as a merit. Because the devotee always says one thing that God is doing in my life, so I am doing it. Devotion is to believe in power above oneself. And such people are never disturbed. Then if they are educated, then there is Manikanchan Yoga. That is why Rama is saying, "Study and write a lot and remain My devotee."
