Equipment, including icu warmer beds, have been provided by UGVCL at a cost of Rs 40 lakh at Mehsana Civil Hospital. Since there were only 7 beds in the children's ICU, serious children had to be referred to other places. Now having 12 beds will be a big benefit. An MoU was signed with Lions Hospital for patients coming for sonography in civil hospital as the sonography machine at the civil hospital had become old for the last two-three months. But the sonography of the patients will be started after the approval of the PCPNDT committee as the new sonography machine is given to the CSR fund by UGVCL. Along with this, an anaesthesia trolley has also been given. Through which now four patients can be operated upon at the same time. Babies born with incomplete mass and underweight often have to be admitted to the ICU. These children have to be treated for at least 15 days. At that time, the cost of this treatment in private ICUs comes up to Rs.5 lakh. On the other hand, Mehsana Civil sends such children for a month without taking a rupee for free treatment. > Dr. Gopiben Patel, Civil Surgeon
