Investigation: Body found in Gagdiyo river in Lathi Chapter: Woman strangled to death

The body of a woman was found naked in the waters of the Gagdiyo river in Lathi on May 28, after which the woman was strangled to death. The woman is from Nandurbar in Maharashtra. The woman's body, which was recovered from the Gagdiyo river in Lathi, belongs to Jamubai Gotia Rawatle of Piprani village in Shahda taluka of Maharashtra's Nandurbar district. The woman's body was found floating in the river water on The 28th and it was revealed that she was strangled to death when a forensic PM was conducted at the Medical College in Bhavnagar. Following which the police today registered a case of murder against unknown persons. It was necessary for the police to get the identity of the woman to solve the murder mystery. The woman's shirt, bangles and other clothes were found in a secluded place some distance away while searching around the riverbank from where the body was found. And next to it was a packet of jewellers from Nandurbar, on which the phone number of the jewellers was written. Lathi PI SM Soni contacted the jewellers and told them that he knew the woman and also gave the mobile number of the woman's son to the police. When the police contacted the woman's son, he said that his mother was missing from the 26th. Today, the woman's husband rushed to lathi police station and lodged a complaint about the murder of his wife. The woman's body was taken to her native place by the family for the last rites. How the woman's lathis reached the mystery remains. The body was found in a lathi two days after the deceased Jamubai went missing from his native place. His family does not live in this area nor does he come to work as a labourer. Police have launched efforts to find out how the woman reached the lathi and with whom she came.
