Holashtak is starting from Fagan Sud Satam. This year, the holashtak, which will start from March 6, will start at 10:53 am and will end with Holika Dahan. The fourteenth tithi will end at 10:36 am on March 13. After this, the Punam Tithi will start, which will last till 12:25 pm on Friday. According to the scriptures, it is considered auspicious to burn Holika when there is Poonam in the evening. According to astrologer Amitbhai, no auspicious or religious work is done during Holashtak. During this period, 16 rites such as marriage, engagement, mundan, karnavedha and naamkaran are avoided. Building construction, house entry, buying and selling of property or vehicle are also considered inauspicious. Religious institutions like yajna and havan are also not worth doing at this time. Starting a new shop or business, joining a new job or other new tasks should also be avoided. Purchase of gold and silver ornaments, home decor items and valuables should also be avoided during this period. Minark Kamurta will start from March 14 after Holashtak.
