Surat: There have been allegations of a scam in the recruitment of senior clerks in Van Seva Mahavidyalaya (BRS) owned by Veer Narmad South Gujarat University (VNSGU) in South Gujarat, Surat. Student leader Yuvrajsinh Jadeja has alleged that there has been corruption in the recruitment, in which the son of a former corporator was given 100 per cent (210/210) marks in the OMR-based examination. A written explanation has been sought from the college on behalf of the university following the allegations. An inquiry committee has been formed. VNSGU Vice Chancellor begins investigation
Taking note of the allegations, VNSGU Vice Chancellor Kishore Singh Chavda has sought a written statement from the college and formed a committee to look into the matter. He has made it clear that if the scam is proved, then the appointment will be canceled and punitive action will be taken. Doubts over the performance of the exam, demand for OMR and CCTV probe
Yuvraj singh Jadeja has demanded that the OMR sheet should be sent for FSL investigation, as well as the CCTV footage and call records of the examination so that the transparency of the entire recruitment process can be exposed. Some candidates have got 100% marks in the OMR based senior clerk examination conducted at Banavav Mahavidyalaya, Bilthadi, run by Gramseva Saha Gharaspur. Student leader Jadeja claimed that a candidate scored 210 marks out of 210, which is usually considered impossible. When it is rare to score 100% marks even in tough exams like UPSC, GPSC, such a result invites doubt. Attempt to cancel THE CPT exam?
As per the basic rule, a candidate who passes the OMR exam must appear for a Computer Proficiency Test. But, even before the omr exam result was declared, there was an attempt to cancel the CPT exam, which is doubtful. Irregularities in OMR and demand for SIT probe
In this case, there was a demand to send the FSL of the OMR sheet for investigation, to check the CCTV footage, and to investigate the persons involved through call records and CDRs. A written explanation has been sought
Vice-Chancellor Kishore Singh Chavda said, "The state government had allowed the recruitment of non-academic staff within the college of the village studies branch located at Bilapudi, which is affiliated to our university. According to the rules, the entrance examination has to be held. After the matter came to the notice of the media, an explanation has also been sought in writing from the college. An inquiry committee has also been formed. Based on whatever steps the state government will take after the inquiry report comes, the space of non-academic staff in this grant-in-aid college may be cancelled as part of the punitive measures.
