Ahmedabad Fire Tragedy: Two killed in fire after blast at AC godown in Ahmedabad

As many as 15 explosions one after the other in the AC godown in Gyanda Co-operative Society of Jivraj Park in Ahmedabad created panic all around. The gas refilling cylinder in the godown explodes one after the other   A woman named Saraswatiben Prajapati and her daughter died due to burn injuries. Nearby buildings and vehicles were also engulfed in the fire due to the massive fire. Not only that.. The glass panes of three to four houses adjacent to the godown were also shattered due to the blast. Questions have also been raised on the functioning of the administration on the issue of commercial activity in the residential area. The chairman of Gyanda Society made a big claim on ABP Asmita and said that despite repeated calls, the municipal corporation did not take any action. ABP Asmita's team also contacted estate officer Rajesh Jiwani on the claim made by the society's chairman. Rajesh Jiwani clarified that the society has not reported anything. After the accident, the Assistant TDO has now ordered an inquiry into the commercial activity in the residential area.
