Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation to implement 'Vaya Vandana Yojana', card can be removed from 85 places, card will be removed from only one document

Vaya Vandana Yojana: Central Government's Vaya Vandana Scheme has been implemented by The Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation. Under this scheme, all citizens above 70 years of age in the city will get free treatment in hospitals run by Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation

On this, Standing Committee Chairman Devang Dani said that there was an income limit in the previous PMJ scheme, but there was no income limit in the Age Vandana Scheme. Any elderly citizen above 70 years of age can take advantage of this scheme. He further said that the facility of making Vaya Vandana card has been made available at 85 Urban Health Centers in the city. Citizens can make a card by going to this center with only the Aadhaar card. With this card, they will be able to get treatment up to Rs 10 lakh free of cost

Prime Minister Narendra Modi officially announced the ayushman bharat scheme facility for people above 70 years of age a few days ago. It aims to provide better health facilities to every elderly person in the country. Therefore, the government has not fixed income or any other criteria for the elderly and everyone can avail the benefit of this scheme

Under this scheme, Ayushman Bharat card made for people above 70 years of age' Ayushman Vaya Vandana Card' Will be told. On the basis of this card, senior citizens will get free treatment up to Rs 5 lakh in the hospital. (This amount is Rs 10 lakh in Gujarat) This card will provide relief to the common people in reducing the burden of health expenses of senior citizens

This will be universal health coverage for people over the age of 70. About 4.5 crore families or 6 crore senior citizens of the country will get the benefit of this special facility. Families who are already a part of the Ayushman Bharat scheme, if one person in their family is also above 70 years of age, they will get top-up health coverage at the rate of Rs 10 lakh per year

The 'Ayushman Vaya Vandana Card' has been issued for the elderly to take advantage of this scheme. Which means that The Ayushman Bharat Card will not be considered valid for taking advantage of this scheme
