Most of us are aware of two Navratri that honor Goddess Shakti - Sharad Navratri celebrated during October-November, and Vasant Navratri during March-April. There are two other Navratris that celebrate the divine feminine power - one during January-February called Magha Navratri and the other during June-July called Ashadha Navratri.

Ashadhi Navratri also known as Gupt Navratri is a special celebration of the Goddess in the form of Durga during nine nights. The word 'secret' means secret. Hence, Gupt Navratri is celebrated by the seekers to perform secret tantric rituals to seek the graceful blessings of the Goddess. Ashadha Navratri is an ideal time to please the Goddess and get rid of both internal and external negativity that hinders your progress and success. It is also an auspicious time to seek Riddhi (knowledge) and Siddhi (wealth) blessings. During Ashadhi Navratri, devotees usually worship Goddess Durga in her 9 powerful forms called Nav Durga to get protection from evil forces like black magic, jealousy etc and a protection around you and your family. The cover is made. During the nine nights of Ashadhi Navratri the sacred texts of the Goddess's powers and blessings such as Devi Mahatmyam or Durga Saptashati and other Durga mantras are chanted.

Durga Saptashati is a part of Markandeya Purana. Special Remedy: On 5 mango/peepal leaves (use any leaf), add rice - turmeric powder - clove and yellow mustard seeds (mustard) then light an oil lamp in front of the picture or idol of the mother. Chant any goddess mantra 21 times. This ritual should be done at night after sunset. You can do 3-5-7 or 09 nights. When devotees do this remedy. Make sure you stay vegetarian.
