Ahmedabad: A youth from New Naroda in Ahmedabad had bought a country-made pistol from a GSRTC bus driver for Rs 35,000 due to personal enmity in his family. On receiving information about this, Fatehganj police of Vadodara caught the youth while registering a case against two people who could not find the driver who gave the pistol. Police had set up a watch near Shastri Bridge polytechnic gate on the basis of a tip-off. Meanwhile, at around 4 pm, when the bus came from Shastri Bridge, the police stopped him near the polytechnic gate. While checking the person, he was found and when he asked his name, it was found that he was Vishwajitsinh alias Kripalsingh Ajitsinh Parmar, a resident of Yamunanagar Society in New Naroda, Ahmedabad. However, no bullet was recovered from the pistol. The accused did not have any license for the pistol so the police seized the pistol. During interrogation, he said that he had purchased the pistol from Dilip Rathwa, the driver of the GSRTC electric bus, for Rs 35,000. On the other hand, when the police investigated Dilip Rathwa, he was not found, so offences including arms act have been registered against the two at Fatehganj police station.
