More than 3000 students in Vadodara schools need new educational kits

Vadodara: The flood of Vishwamitri in Vadodara has also hit the education of children. Many  students have lost their books and other stationery in the flood waters.

Especially children coming from economically ordinary families are in need of educational kits right now and according to the preliminary estimate of the survey being conducted on this, more than 3000 children in Vadodara have to be given educational kits. 

According to sources in the Vadodara DEO office, according to a survey conducted in the grant-in-aid  secondary and higher secondary schools of Vadodara city and district, textbooks, notebooks and other items of about 1500 students were submerged in the flood.

The educational associations of Vadodara city district have formed a joint committee to provide new notebooks and other items to the children. Principal Ghanshyambhai Chavda, who is associated with it, says, "In the survey conducted by us in primary schools, information of about 1200 needy children has come to light.

While sources in the Municipal Primary Education Committee say that the work of collecting information of the children affected by the flood is currently underway  in the schools of the committee.
