Ram Navami 27 processions: 2500 police personnel to be deployed in sensitive areas

Ram Navami will be celebrated on Sunday, in view of which the police have been prepared. As many as 27 processions have been allowed by the police to be taken out in different areas. While four other programmes have also been approved, a tight bandobast of more than 2500 police personnel will be deployed. Keeping in mind the month of Ramazan, Eid and Ram Navami, the police had started foot patrolling, inspection with drones, checking of public places with bombs and dog squads for the last ten days. Police commissioner Narasimha Komar held meetings with various departments yesterday and even today in view of Ram Navami. He discussed the arrangements for the procession and instructed to make different arrangements. A plan has been prepared by the city police machinery for tight security of all the processions of Ram Navami. In which there is a plan to interrogate the anti-social elements from the preventive measures. While special attention will be kept on the persons caught in the riots earlier. Continuous surveillance will be kept by high resolution drones in various areas The police department has said that all CCTV visuals in the city will be continuously monitored from the Control and Command Center. The organisers of these processions are local Ram Seva Samitis including Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Bajrang Dal. Police personnel, including 7 DCPs and 12 ACPs, will be in bandobast. 7 DCPs, 12 ACPs, 30 PIs, 85 PSIs, staff including police officers of Crime Branch, PCB, SOG, 2 companies of SRP, staff of different police stations, home guard personnel and 2500 more officers and jawans will be present in the procession.
