When Vadodara Municipal Corporation launched the tax recovery campaign yesterday saw 184 commercial property sealed in a day for Rs. Rs 2.17 crore has been discarded. Recently Municipal Commissioner Shalini Agarwal initiated the procedure for sealing off commercial properties on the basis that a meeting of Assistant Commissioner as well as Ward Officers had instructed the issuance of 95% tax by the end of March. In which 184 property was sealed in ward number 1 to 12th yesterday since the tax levy campaign began. From 6 to this day, the corporation killed 1200 property seals during the last one week. It is necessary to remind you that Vadodara Municipal Corporation has to pay Rs. Over 25,000 persons who owe property tax dues have been asked to pay notice to reimburse money. Approximately Rs. 150 crore has yet to be released from these 15000 arrears.
