Permanent problem of rainwater in Sayajiganj area: There is a lot of anger among the people as the problems of the people have not been resolved from years.

In Smart City Vadodara, people are experiencing village-like roads. The Vadodara Municipal Corporation had claimed a pre-monsoon operation, but last night's rain raised multiple questions on the pre-monsson work. For Vadodara, sayajiganj rain water logging is a permanent problem. If there is no permanent solution to this problem, then the problem of the people increases in a few rains. Potholes on the roads have started causing minor accidents. There has been anger among the people as the roads have been washed away, but the corporation's machinery is not renovating that road. 

Sayajiganj has jetalpur drain and Dinesh mill drain, which connects Parshuramnagar, Akota, Dineshmill, Shrenik Park, Urmi Society etc. to Sayajiganj, where there is a rainwater canal. Which is being filled by dumping rods, stones, garbage etc. for the last 7-8 years. About 3 to 4 kilometers from there, the water of the circle area like Akota, Dinesh Mill Road, Urmi Society Road etc. used to quickly come out and go into the Vishwamitri river when it rains. Now that the canal has been closed, the same water that used to drain quickly does not come out due to the closure of the canal and the area is filled with water. This water flows over the road and washes away the road. Secondly, the 15-feet-wide and equally deep canal near Murad Shahid's dargah near Jetalpur drain is almost closed. Out of which, a serious situation has arisen due to waterlogging in 4 to 5 kilometers area of Saronding area, which is a permanent problem.

The basement of the Phoenix Complex in Sayajiganj was flooded with rainwater. Due to which the shops and offices of the basement were flooded and there was a loss of lakhs and crores of rupees. Not only this, two-wheelers, including a bike parked in the basement, were completely submerged. Shops and offices were half submerged. In this way, every time during heavy rains, the premises are flooded. Due to which the citizens are upset. There is a lot of anger among the people as their problems have not been resolved from years.Locals angrily say that this is an age-old problem of the area, which has been presented to the municipality. But the problem of the people does not come out of paper due to which the citizens of the area suffer in a few rains. People are demanding a permanent solution to this problem.
