Expenditure behind Covid-19 of 8 Municipal Corporations of Gujarat State

I want to give a detailed information to the people of Gujarat about the expenditure done by 8 Municipal Corporation of Gujarat on the back of Covid-19. You know how much money Vadodara Municipal Corporation, Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation, Surat Municipal Corporation has spent on Covid-19 in the last two years, I will give you detailed information. Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation and According to Covid-19, Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation includes Kheda, Anand and Surendranagar. A total of 75 lakh Covid-19 tests have been done in these districts and 3.96 lakh Covid-19 patients have been cured, behind which ₹1668 crore is spent by Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation. Out of which Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation has spent ₹ 1187 crore behind Ahmedabad. Gandhinagar Municipal Corporation which includes Mehsana, Patan, Banaskantha, Sabarkantha and Aravalli as per Covid-19. A total of 56.76 lakh Covid-19 tests have been done in these districts and 1.17 lakh Covid-19 patients have been cured. Behind which ₹ 147 crore has been spent, out of which Gandhinagar Municipal Corporation has spent ₹ 10.53 crore behind Gandhinagar.

Vadodara Municipal Corporation and according to Covid-19, a total of 63.72 lakh Covid-19 tests have been conducted in Chhotaudpur, Bharuch, Panchmahal, Mahisagar and Dahod districts and 2.00 lakh Covid-19 patients have been cured. Behind which ₹141 crore has been spent, out of which Vadodara Municipal Corporation has spent ₹13.85 crore behind Vadodara. Surat Municipal Corporation and according to Covid-19, a total of 101.32 lakh Covid-19 tests have been conducted in Tapi, Navsari, Valsad and Dang districts and 2.34 lakh people have been cured. The cost of which is around ₹746.35 crore, out of which Surat Municipal Corporation has spent only ₹372.81 crore behind Surat.

Bhavnagar Municipal Corporation and according to Covid-19, a total of 46.44 lakh Kovid-19 tests have been conducted in Botad, Amreli, Junagadh and Gir districts and 0.76 lakh people have been cured. Its expenditure is around ₹134.49 crore, in which Bhavnagar Municipal Corporation has spent only ₹14.92 crore behind Bhavnagar and Junagadh Municipal Corporation has spent only ₹ 5.04 crore behind Junagadh. Rajkot Municipal Corporation and according to Covid-19, Morbi, Jamnagar, Dwarka, Kutch and Porbandar districts, a total of 61.13 lakh people have been tested for Covid-19 and 1.63 lakh patients have been cured. Its expenditure is approximately ₹ 316.44 crore out of which Jamnagar Municipal Corporation has spent only ₹ 9.59 crore behind Jamnagar and Rajkot Municipal Corporation has spent around ₹ 31 crore behind Rajkot. Gujarat Medical Services Company Limited has spent ₹1441 crore on Covid-19.

Not a single expenditure is in lakhs. The expenditure is in crores. Do you think that Surat Municipal Corporation conducted the maximum number of Covid-19 tests (101.32 lakh Covid-19 tests) and spent ₹ 746.35 crore and Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation conducted 75.06 lakh Covid-19 tests and spent ₹ 1668.33 crore. How is this possible, with less testing and higher cost in one district of Gujarat state and more COVID-19 testing and lower cost in another district? Seeing such magic, such good governance, I feel like crying, may God give such development to everyone.

But do you think that this development will benefit the people of Gujarat or the bosses of the municipal corporation or will benefit the government bosses, babus in the municipal corporation? This question should be asked to the leaders of the ruling party that what do you think, your higher education, your patriotism and your hard work done to take Gujarat on the path of development, the money collected by the people of Gujarat through tax, Are you using it in the right place?
