Some men face abuse but can't alter law protecting women: Supreme Court

The Supreme Court acknowledged potential misuse of dowry harassment laws (Section 498A IPC/Section 85 BNS) against men and their families, but refused to alter the legislation designed to protect women from cruelty in matrimonial settings. The court emphasized that isolated instances of misuse do not negate the widespread harassment faced by women, and each case must be evaluated individually.
