When Udit's first wife claimed he married Deepa without divorce
Udit Narayan’s first marriage was to a woman named Ranjana in 1985 in Bihar. At the time, he was not a well-known name, and the news of his wedding remained under wraps. Seeking opportunities, Udit moved to Mumbai, leaving Ranjana behind. Once in Mumbai, Udit reportedly fell in love with Deepa Gahatraj, a singer from Nepal who was trying her luck in Bollywood. The two married and had a son, Aditya Narayan, a well-known playback singer and television host. It is believed that Deepa was unaware of Udit’s first marriage for a long time. The scandal came to light in 2006 when Udit visited Patna for a performance.
