An explosion at an under-construction gas field in Uzbekistan killed at least two people and injured others. Occurring near Baysun, this follows a previous incident releasing hydrogen sulphide gas. Authorities closed schools and evacuated workers. Discovered during the Soviet era, the gas field is now being developed with foreign investment.
