India suspends Indus Water Treaty with Pakistan, shuts Attari Border in strong response to Pahalgam attack

A day after the Pahalgam terror attack that claimed 26 lives, the Ministry of External Affairs addressed a press conference on Wednesday and said the Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) has condemned the terrorist attack in the strongest words. Vikram Misri, Foreign Secretary at the MEA, said the CCS met this evening under the Chairmanship of PM Modi and it was briefed in detail on the terrorist attack on 22 April 2025 in Pahalgam, in which 25 Indians and one Nepali citizen were killed. A number of others sustained injuries.
